Apparatus Showcase - Viewing Engine 1013

The Maple Shade Fire Department in Burlington County New Jersey have recently received a new Engine 1013. The new Pierce Velocity replaces a 1989 Grumman pumper. Engine 1013 is a 2009 Pierce Velocity Rescue Pumper carries Pierce Job # 21661 it features a raised roof climate controlled cab with seating for 8 including Pierce Roll Over Protection and air bags. The engine is powered by a Detroit Diesel 470hp motor paired with an Allison Transmission. The new unit also features a 600 gallon water tank, 10kw generator and all LED warning lights. 1 FRC 1000 watt brow light and 2 FRC 150 watt tele lights. The new Pierce was sold by Fire and Safety Services of South Plainfield NJ the salesman was Ed Miller.
