Two Alarm Apartment Fire

B/C-13 reported fire on the fourth floor of a four story apartment building. Command reported fire had extended to the cockloft and placed all hands in service. Interior crews had smoke through out the fourth floor and requested the second alarm struck to assist in evacuations of the residents. All searches were negative.

Chief-99 (Simon) reported two large chemical tanks involved in fire after being struck by lightning he had SQ99 in service with foam. C11 requested county requested FM225 and the county hazmat team to respond. Chief-99 requested Ladder-11 and Engine-11 to go into service with master streams. Special called Squrt-13 for its elevated master stream. Command advised county all companies on box alarm were being placed into service with largest master streams. Command requested 2nd alarm stated he had 2 - 250,000 gallon tanks involved with several exposures including rail cars and buildings. At 426hrs command reported that one of the tanks was beginning to buckle. Command had a third supply line being dropped from the pump house (in bristol boro) to the south side of the complex.
Command requested all companies stop flowing water into the containment area and
only use foam as the waterlines were disrupting the foam blanket.
*Line of Duty Death* Fire Police Officer Dave Wintz, 65 died after directing traffic at the fire. He was transported to the hospital in Cardiac Arrest. He died at the hospital.

Companies were dispatched to the Sleighton School for a reported building fire. Chief 64-9 arrived on location with heavy fire through out a 200x50 building on the grounds. Defensive operations used all hands.

D/C 19-9A arrived on scene with a car into a house. The car was fully involved with extension to a two story twin dwelling. Command reported a rear porch on fire with some extension to the house. Crews placed several hand lines in service to knock the car and house fires. One victim was found DOA inside the car. Police reported the victim in the car was reported have been shot prior to the crash.
