Squad-23 arrived on scene with heavy fire showing from the roof of a large three story mansion. All hands placed in service. Numerous special calls to the scene from Montco and Delco. Command ordered all companies out of the dwelling and went in service with master streams. Had heavy fire through out the third floor and roof.

Chief-45 Andy Errico arrived on scene and reported heavy fire showing through the roof of a large strip mall. Command quickly requested an additional ladder, and a Rapid Intervention Team. Crews working on the ground and roof went in service with numerous hose lines to prevent the fire from extending further, and were able to bring the blaze under control in just under an hour. Apparatus on scene were Rescue 45, Ladder 45, Utility 45, Engine 55 (Newtown), Engine 3, Quint 73, Rescue 3 (Northampton), Tower 80 (Yardley-Makefield), and Engine 81 (Upper-Makefield). Newtown Township Fire Marshal Don Harris is investigating the fire, along with the Newtown Township Police Department.

Chief 20-9 has heavy fire on the first floor of a two story twin dwelling, reported numerous people trapped. Crews requested ground ladders to the front. Command reported fire extended to the second floor and to the exposure in the rear. All hands in service. Crews located a victim on the second floor, removed to EMS. Several special calls to the scene. One victim was DOA on scene and one person was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Several police officers were transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
