Engine 9 arrived reporting fire and smoke showing from the rear of a two story middle of the row vacant. Battalion 2 placed all hands on the assignment and requested Car 3 and Squad 7 on top of the original box. No injuries were reported and the City FM is investigating.

Command reported a two story single family dwelling well involved. Companies established a water supply and used several master streams and hand lines. The fire was placed under control in a little over an hour. It is under investigation and no injuries were reported.

Units arrived with heavy fire showing from a one story industrial building, 150x200. Command requested the second alarm and tanker task force. Due to the lack of hydrants in the area, numerous tankers requested and draft site were established. Command reported all companies in service with exterior operations and heaviest water lines. The fire escalated to four alarms with mutual aid coming as far as New Jersey.

Engine-45 arrived on scene with heavy fire showing from a three story M/O/R, 15x45, reported jumper down. Placed 2&2 in service. B/C-8 reported fire second and third floors, requested additional medic units for injured civilians. Command reported 3&2 and Rescue-1 in service. Medics transported one jumper with severe burns and multiple fractures and one victim with smoke inhalation to Temple. One firefighter was transported with burns to the neck. The jumper a 60 year old male died at the hospital.

Companies were orignally dispatched for a reported man in the river and found a 12ft boat fully invovled. B/C 4 request the box to be struck and placed 2 and 2 in service. B/C 4 request Marine Unit 1 to go into service upon arrival and Engine 29 was to stretch a supply line to the riverside and to go into service. Westville Fire Department(Gloucester County,NJ) was on the river with "FireBoat 7" and reponded to the scene. Fireboat 7 and Landbased compaines knocked the bulk to the fire down within minutes. B/C 4 released the Companies.
